Mobile Trends

1. Multiplatforming

2. Webrooming & Showrooming

Multiplatforming

In 2015, customers everywhere are demanding high speed access to your business on multiple devices. These customers are hoping from desktop to mobile multiple times per day. It is the job of the business owner to cater to demand of the customer, not create the demand. So if you're saying "we don't need mobile!"...well, you are quite wrong.

The mobile app & mobile web growth combines to a 69% increase from 2013 to 2014, where desktop growth came at just over 1%. We are seeing huge inclines in growth of mobile and they show no signs of slowing down.

Webrooming

Small businesses used to be terrified of "showrooming" customers browsing products in the store but then purchasing them online. In 2014, showrooming dropped to 28% of online sales studied, according to the latest global Future Buy Shopping Report from researcher Gfk.

"Webrooming" (buying a product in a store after researching it online on a smartphone) hit 41%. Some 10-15% of in-store sales are a direct result of webrooming, estimates marketing technology company Criteo.

Here is how customers use smartphones while showrooming.

Summary

People are searching for better prices & online promotions on their mobile apps & mobile websites. This shows a huge demand for adding a mobile app or mobile strategy for your business immediately. The customers are demanding this from you, so why not get going now. Many small businesses think mobile apps are too pricey because they received quotes back for $50,000. But the beautiful thing about Grand Apps is we come in at a fraction of that cost.
